Georges Melies Google Doodle

Postby Dave McElderry » Thu May 03, 2018 3:36 am

There's a very cool animated 360 degree Google doodle today on the Google search page in celebration of Georges Melies!
https://www.google.com/

Made me think of Paul Hansen and his videos. I wonder whatever became of him? It's been 5 years since he last posted, and I see his last YouTube video was posted Sep 25, 2014.

I too hope Paul is well. And I miss his wonderfully imaginative videos.

As for George Melies, the Google Doodle is terrific! I don't know that I've ever seen a 360 animated movie before.

But to me there's still no greater tribute to Melies than Martin Scorsese's wonderful film "Hugo." If you haven't see it, it's a real joy.

I did see Hugo, twice, and did enjoy it very much. A delight!

It's sad how some people just disappear and we don't hear anything for months or years or ever. There are a lot of people I miss seeing here :(

For those with Amazon Prime, Hugo is now available and included.
